The Warrior Operational Medicine Clinic provides safe, timely, and evidence-based health care to permanent party active duty service members, National Guard, and Reserve members on active duty orders stationed at Altus AFB. Our goal is to keep you healthy, mission ready, and supported with accessible and high-quality medical care.

Same-Day & Walk-In Services
Acute Issues: For sudden illnesses or minor injuries needing attention within 24 hours, book an appointment via the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal or call our front desk at: 580-481-5230.
If no appointments are available:
- Call the Military Health System Nurse Advice Line at 800-TRICARE (874-2273), Option 1, for guidance.
- Use the web or video chat with a registered nurse at https://mhsnurseadviceline.com/.
- If urgent care is needed off-base, you must first obtain a referral from our clinic or the MHS Nurse Advice Line.
Limited Walk-In Services (Seen by a medical technician):
- Pregnancy Test
- Sore throat
- Urinary tract infection
- Subsequent wart removal (after initial treatment by PCM)
- Subsequent vitamin B-12/Depo-Provera/Testosterone injection
- High-risk Body Composition Assessment counseling (coming soon)
- COVID-19 testing
- Vaginal discharge concerns
- Three-day blood pressure check
- STD testing
Routine & Chronic Care
For chronic conditions or non-urgent concerns, book an appointment via:

- Message your PCM team
- Calling the Warfighter Clinic front desk at 580-481-5230

- Follow-up care for chronic conditions
- Referral requests
- Medication concerns

We focus on prevention, screening, and treatment of illnesses and conditions affecting our active duty service members.
Our team provides:
- Acute and Preventative Care
- Gynecological Care (Well-woman exams, IUD/Nexplanon placement)
- Behavioral Health Consultation (Short-term support integrated with primary care)
- Patient Education and Disease Management
- Case Management for high-risk populations
- Duty and Mobility Evaluations
- Medical Profiles (duty, mobility, and fitness restrictions)
- Shaving waivers
- Convalescent leave/quarter requests
Virtual Care & Secure Messaging
Some health concerns may be addressed via telehealth appointments or secure messaging for:
- Medication renewals (processed within 72 hours)
- Referral renewals (include specialty, provider name, and diagnosis)
- Administrative paperwork requests
- Other health concerns
Individual Medical Readiness
Your IMR Action List will display overdue or required medical actions. Use the PHAQ link on your IMR page to initiate your Periodic Health Assessment. If needed, the BOMC will contact you for further steps.
