Who We Treat
We provide comprehensive primary care for TRICARE Prime-enrolled beneficiaries from birth to age 17. Our clinic offers holistic care, including well-child visits, acute care, chronic condition management, vaccinations, and specialty care referrals.
Appointments & Access to Care
Scheduling an Appointment:
- Online: Request appointments through the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal.
- Phone: Call the appointment line at 580-481-5235.
- Walk-ins: Not recommended. Call ahead.
Types of Appointments
- Well-Child Visits (Schedule at birth, 2 weeks, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months 9 months, 12 months, 15 months, 18 months, 2 years, then annually).
- Acute Issue (Need to be seen within 24 hours): Call the appointment line. If unavailable, contact the Military Health System Nurse Advice Line at 800-TRICARE(874-2273), Option 1, for guidance on urgent care options.
- Chronic Conditions & Routine Care (Non-urgent, need to be seen beyond 24 hours): Book via MHS GENESIS Patient Portal or call the clinic.
- Virtual Appointments: Some health needs, including medication refills and paperwork requests, may be handled via telehealth. Instructions will be provided through the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal or by phone.
COVID-19 Concerns
- If you have symptoms: Call the appointment line at 580-481-5235.
- If you need testing only: send a message to your PCM via the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal or check for free off-base testing locations.
Vaccines & Immunizations
Keeping your child up to date on vaccines is essential to prevent illness. We follow Centers for Disease Control & Prevention guidelines for immunizations. Find more details on the CDC website.
DEERS Enrollment for Newborns
Important Steps to Enroll Your Newborn
Register your child in MHS GENESIS: Call Patient Administration at 580-481-5362 to generate a DOD ID number.

- Enroll in DEERS: Take the DOD ID number to the DEERS/ID office in Building 52 once you have the official birth certificate and Social Security Number. Schedule appointments online at https://idco.dmdc.osd.mil/idco/locator.
- Enroll in TRICARE Prime: Call TriWest at 1-844-866-9378 to assign a Primary Care Manager (PCM) at the 97th Medical Group. We enroll patients who live within a 60-minute drive. If drive time is greater than 30 minutes, an access to care waiver must be signed.
Note: Your newborn can be seen at the 97th Medical Group before DEERS enrollment but won’t be covered for off-base care until officially enrolled in DEERS and a TRICARE plan.. The mother’s OB referral covers specialty care for the newborn up to 90 days.

Physical Exams
- School Physicals: Covered by TRICARE. Call to schedule.
- Sports Physicals: Not covered by TRICARE. Due to clinic demand, we have limited availability. Contact us to schedule well in advance.
Parental & Guardian Requirements
- Children must be accompanied by a biological parent or legal guardian.
- Stepparents need a medical power of attorney to accompany a stepchild.
- Visit the Welcome Center or Base Legal Services/Staff Judge Advocate Office to obtain an MPOA.
